DAY 1: Saturday 14th December 2019 (Diamond District, Domlur) 11.00 - 11.30: Welcome, Introductions and Workshop explanation --> Special Intro to Generative Design 11.30 - 13.00: Getting Started with Furniture Design --> Introduction to 3D CAD design software --> Sketch a concept piece of Furniture --> Convert a 2D drawing to a 3D CAD model of your chosen piece of furniture --> Basics of CNC Joinery 13.00 - 14.00: Lunch Break 14.00 - 17.30: Design for CNC Fabrication --> Basic understanding of CAM Toolpath strategies --> Creating your own toolpaths for CNC Furniture Design --> Special Demo of Generatively-designed Furniture in 3D CAD 17.30 - 18.00: Day 1 Wrap-up and Day 2 Prep
