In the beginner's course you will: + Learn what some of the keywords mean (aka what is the mechanic talking about) + Watch us show you how to: --> Lift the Bonnet --> Check and Fill Fluids --> Check the Brakes --> Examine the Tires to verify they are safe, and use the tools in the car to change a flat tire + Do all of the above on your own car (cos doing = self-confidence) while we help you if you are stuck + Join the WRENCHING REVOLUTION and become a Mech-Savvy Car Owner! IMPORTANT NOTES: + Even though we will cover plenty of theory to explain the above mentioned points -- this is a HANDS-ON WORKSHOP! Please ensure you come ready to get your hands dirty! + Since the workshop is heavily dependent on people bringing their cars, anybody bringing their own car (any make/model) will be allowed to attend FREE, others wanting to attend without bringing a vehicle (e.g. car) will need to pay the INR 750 entry fee! The reason we have insisted on people bringing their own personal vehicles is because we are limited in terms of vehicles people can get hands-on with. + If you personally don't own a vehicle, then its okay to bring a car owned by someone else (with their permission of course!) + Children above the age of 15 are allowed, but only if they are accompanied by a parent/guardian who brings a car + Any questions? About the Instructor: + Tilottama Shrinivasa is a professional Mechanical Engineer and Automotive Enthusiast having led and participated in several car maintenance clinics. She is also an avid motorist and enjoys going to car rallies! Tilottama is keen that Women, especially, learn about Automotive Essentials and keep up to date with the daily wear and tear that goes into successful automotive/vehicle maintenance.
