NOTES: + You must bring your own laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux machine) to successfully take part in this workshop! + If you have basic C# programming knowledge, it will be a huge plus. Non-coders will have a bit of trouble adjusting to the technicalities in this workshop, but our mentors will do their best to keep you on track. + If you are bringing a Windows machine, you MUST be running Windows 10 in order to successfully interface with the Azure IoT Hub Platform! + We will have sufficient Raspberry Pis for participants to share in groups, but if you have your own Pi (Pi 2 or Pi 3) please bring it to use during the workshop + Most likely we will have a shortage of memory cards (MicroSD), please do make the effort to bring an 8GB MicroSD card with you! You must create a free temporary Microsoft Azure account so as to access the Azure IoT Hub (more details @ https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/services/iot-hub/) + You must have Visual Studio 2015/2017 installed (this is a large download, so please do this before coming to the workshop! You can download from: https://www.visualstudio.com/free-developer-offers/) + While installing Visual studio kindly select UWP (Universal Windows Platform ) package and .net Framework package + Non-windows users kindly download the virtual machine of Windows 10 operating system with Visual studio 2017, here is the link provided: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/virtual-machines + One important consideration of participating in this workshop is that YOU MUST BE WILLING TO SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE LEARNED! We insist that participants "help each other" by lending a hand when the other is stuck on an issue, or needs assistance completing a task. It has been proven this helps to truly absorb the material disseminated during the bootcamp! + Any questions? Please contact Kavita Arora via kklindor21@gmail.com
