Product Description

Ekzen Robotics (https://www.ekzenrobotics.com/) in association with Makespace and Open Source Creativity (http://www.bangaloremakespace.org/) presents a 2-day Hands-on Bootcamp on Industry 4.0: PRACTICAL INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION.

As many of you know, Industrial Automation is the use of control systems and information technology commonly used in various "manufacturing setups" such as factories, industrial plants, including advanced design and fabrication facilities. Unlike a theoretical lecture or university/college class, we have positioned this 2-day workshop as a "practical bootcamp" where participants will dive straight into Machine Design, Robot Arm configuration and programming, as well as working hands-on with model PLC systems.

WHAT: Industry 4.0 - Practical Industrial Automation Bootcamp WHEN: Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th May, 2018 TIME: 11am - 6pm both days WHERE: Ekzen Robotics, Vidyaranyapura Main Rd (https://goo.gl/maps/EZAAsFa76SS2) COST: INR 2500/- per person

We will cover topics such as: + Industrial Robotic Arm programming (using Dobot Magician Robotic ARM) + Use Cases for Industrial Automation: Material Handling, Pick and Place, Loading/Unloading, Assembly and Inspection, Soldering, 3D Printing + Understanding PLCs: Ladder Logic, Programming Techniques and Real-time Input/Output handling + Understanding steps involved in implementing Industry 4.0 + The Future of Work: Smart Manufacturing, AI and the Robot Revolution + Brief Overviews of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Factories of the Future

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? --> Industrial Automation professionals who wish to gain experience on rapid problem solving, and generally update their skillset with respect to newer methodologies for Industry 4.0 --> Entrepreneurs/Business-people interested in understanding what all is involved in setting up Industrial Automation for a Factory Floor to leverage Industry 4.0 --> Any student of Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science interested in how to build "factories of the future" --> Freelancers or Consultants involved in automating small-to-medium sized businesses from basic mechanization to Human-Robot Interaction.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND? --> Unlike a traditional college lecture or class on Industrial Automation, this crash course is a completely practical exercise in what Industrial Automation means from a professional perspective! We will be going over popular Industry Use Cases and examining their validity in a Smart Manufacturing setup --> Participants will get HANDS-ON experience programming ROBOT ARMS and PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS.

AGENDA Day 1: Saturday 19th May 2018 + Elements of industrial automation: Robotic Manipulators, PLCs, SPMs, etc. + Application case studies: Pick and Place, Screen Testing, Dispensing + Hands on Robot Arm Training with mentor-led guided exercises: --> Programming for pick and place using suction cup and 2 jaw gripper --> Programming for light drilling. + Program Your Own PLC: Working, Programming Methods, Demo a simple program.

Day 2: Sunday 20th May 2018 + More Robot Programming methods and understanding different Industrial Automation setups and implementations + The reality of Industry 4.0: Upcoming innovations in Smart Manufacturing, AI and the Robot Revolution + FACTORY VISIT to see Industrial Automation in implementation (Venue is classified due to our non-disclosure agreement, will only be revealed to registered participants at the start of the bootcamp)
